Diet For a Healthy Mum-to-be

A pregnant woman eats extra for the growing baby. When your thin and carrying multiple fetuses of course you need to eat even more, not just eating anything rather eating healthy foods that are recommended by your doctor for a better outcome not just for you but also for your baby. You have to eat healthy, balanced  diet for a healthy mum-to-be  is more likely to get extra nutrients plus other supplements. Here are some suggested dietary guidelines like lean meats, vegetables, fruits, whole grain breads and low fat dairy products. During pregnancy you need to have supplements like calcium, a pregnant woman should increase calcium consumption to prevent from calcium loss because the growing baby’s calcium demand is high. Another one is Iron, you need 27-30 g/day ferrous supplement while 60-100 g element iron/day for patient with large built, twin fetuses, late in pregnancy and with low hemoglobin. Amniocentesis (Amnio)

If you read this word the first thing that comes into your mind is knowing what is  amniocentesis  (amnio)  means, and how is it done. This is also known as amniotic fluid test which is a procedure done by medical professionals and this is used in diagnosis of chromosomal abnormalities and fetal infections in which a small amount of amniotic tissues/fluid is extracted in the amnion sac and submit it for examinations.
